Insurance Information
We know treating diabetes can be expensive. That's why understanding your insurance coverage, benefits, and reimbursement options is so important. We're here to help.
Your insurance plan may help cover much of the cost of diabetes testing supplies, including blood glucose meters and test strips. In the United States, most insurance companies, and Medicare Part B, provide some type of coverage for these supplies.
It's important to know that Medicare, Medicaid and diabetes education programs are not automatically available to all US citizens and residents, as you need to meet certain eligibility criteria in order to receive these benefits. Whether you have private health insurance through your employer, or participate in a government program such as Medicare and Medicaid that provides health care insurance coverage and reimbursement, coverage may vary by provider.
It's possible that a portion or all of your diabetes treatment and supplies will be covered under your plan. To determine your coverage, please talk to your insurance provider or your company's benefits expert.
Medicare Coverage
The nation's largest health insurance program, Medicare is for those over 65 and others below 65 who are disabled. For people with diabetes, Medicare Part B covers certain diabetic supplies and diabetes education programs. Your benefits may entitle you to reimbursement for your purchase of TRUEtrack®, Prestige IQ®, TRUEread®, TRUEresult®, or TRUE2go™ blood glucose meters. If you are also covered by a Medicare supplement, the full cost of your diabetes testing supplies may be covered.
To get the full benefits of your coverage, make sure you show your Medicare card to your pharmacist whenever you refill a prescription.
For more information on Medicare eligibility and what may be covered for you, please call 1-800-Medicare or visit the Medicare Web site.

Medicaid Coverage
Medicaid coverage is available only to certain low-income individuals and families who fit into an eligibility group that is recognized by federal and state law. If you have an income that meets government guidelines, you may be eligible for benefits to receive diabetes supplies and education under Medicaid.
For more information on the program and eligibility requirements for Medicaid, please visit the Web site.

Commercial Insurance Coverage
Our products are widely covered by commercial insurance plans. In fact, approximately 75% of commercial insurance members are covered under plans with open access for test strips. And, TRUEtrack™ has a lower average co-pay than competitors for many private insurance plans¹. To determine your coverage, please talk to your insurance provider or your company's benefits expert.
